• Departure from RAMBOUILLET
(Train station - SNCF - Paris-Montparnasse/Rambouillet line)

• As you leave the train station, turn left and follow the GR 1 which is signposted in white and red, follow the « Rue Chasles » to the entrance to the Park of the Château.

• Go in and continue to the ornamental pond (le rondeau), leave the GR and turn left, then turn right towards another pond and continue towards the Château.

• Go through the gate on the left of the Château and continue straight ahead along the tree-lined alleys, cross the road and walk towards the Park’s gate.

• Before the gate, turn left and take the path that leads to a tarred road, turn right on that road, than straight ahead, go between the « Pavillon de la Faisanderie » and the Glacière forest house and go along its wall to the Queen’s dairy.

• Cross the road at the round-about and go through the gate to the English garden, go straight for another 150 m then turn right after the “Grotte des Deux Amants” (cave).

• Go along the river to the « Chaumière aux Coquillages » and turn left towards the bridge, go over the bridge and turn right towards the ruins of the « Chapelle de l'Ermitage », then at the crossroads turn left and go to the wall along the D906, follow that wall to the ornamental pond then take again the GR 1 going along the water to the exit of the park, and you will see the station.
