Built under Henri IV, dominates the Chevreuse Valley and is surrounded by gardens created from the sketches of Le Nôtre. Lacquer furniture and Gobelins tapestries are part of its rich 17th century interior décor, which also includes a gold work masterpiece, the “table de l’Europe”.
Fifty wax figures ranging from Louis XVI to Marcel Proust, Sleeping Beauty and Puss in Boots
conjure up the history of France and Perrault’s fairy tales.
Its 75-hectare park, classified as a historical monument, features flower gardens, games for children and a boxwood maze.
