Built under Henri IV, dominates the Chevreuse Valley and is surrounded by gardens created from the sketches of Le Nôtre. Lacquer furniture and Gobelins tapestries are part of its rich 17th century interior décor, which also includes a gold work masterpiece, the “table de l’Europe”.

Fifty wax figures ranging from Louis XVI to Marcel Proust, Sleeping Beauty and Puss in Boots conjure up the history of France and Perrault’s fairy tales.

Its 75-hectare park, classified as a historical monument, features flower gardens, games for children and a boxwood maze.

 

 

Gardens and fairytales at 10:00 am. Open: daily at 2: 30 pm; Sundays, public holidays and Paris region School holidays at 11: 30 am. Last visit at 5: 30 pm.

Tariff:
chateau, gardens and fairy tales: 14.00 €, young people up to the age of 18, students, members of the armed forces and large families, 12.00 €; gardens and fairy tales only, 8.50 Euros; reduced rate, 7.00 Euros.
