| Tourist tax |
In order to make your stay more pleasant, and to improve it's quality, we have a new resource : the tourist tax.
It is a contribution received by your host on behalf of the city of Rambouillet.
It completely finances tourist projects from which you will profit directly such as the functioning of the tourist office, improvement, event organisation and maintenance of signs…
We hope you enjoy your stay in Rambouillet. By order on December 11, 2004 the city of Rambouillet established the visitor's tax (tourist tax) effective June 1st, 2004.
This tax is collected for the account of the city of Rambouillet by landlords and hotel owners from tourists spending at least one night in the town.
People exempted are :
- children under 13,
- people benefiting from social assistance (disabled…),
- civil servants and state government officials on duty.
Rates per person and per night are :
accomodation categories
- hotels**** : 1,00
- hotels***, 1st category furnished accommodation: 1,00
- hotels**, 2nd category furnished accommodation, highly comfortable vacation villages: 0,82
- hotels*, 3rd category furnished accommodation, comfortable vacation villages: 0,62
- no star hotels, 4th category furnished accommodation: 0,45
- caravan and campsites *** or higher: 0,55
The tourist tax is controlled by the articles L 2333-26 à L 2333-46 of general code of the local authorities.
